ஒரு சாலையில் வேகக் கட்டுப்பாடு அறுபது என்று இருக்கிறது. ஒருவர் எண்பது கிலோமீட்டர் வேகத்திலும் இன்னொருவர் நூறு கிலோ மீட்டர் வேகத்திலும் சென்றார்கள். என்றாலும் எண்பது கிலோ மீட்டர் வேகத்தில் சென்றவருக்கு மட்டுமே அபராதம் போடப்பட்டது. ஏன்?

1. 80 கிலோ மீட்டர் வேகத்தில் சென்ற காரை மடக்கச் சென்ற போலீஸ் கார் 100 கிலோ மீட்டர் வேகத்தில் சென்றது. அதனால் 100 கி.மீ வேகத்தில் சென்ற காரோட்டிக்கு அபராதம் இல்லை,

2. 100 கிலோ மீட்டர் வேகமாகச் சென்றவ நிர்ணயிக்கப்பட்ட வேகத்தை விட 50% சதவிகிதத்திற்கு மேல் என்பதால் அவர் கைது செய்யப்பட்டு லாக்கப்புக்கு கொண்டு செல்லப்பட்டார். அபராதம் விதிக்கப்படவில்லை.

If you are caught speeding in a construction zone or near a school or military base, you can be arrested. Your previous driving record can also play an important role. Generally if it is your first offence, you will be allowed to go after you are issued a ticket. However if it is your second offence you can be in trouble. You will definitely be in trouble if you are a repeat offender or who are caught speeding along with another offence such as DUI or driving without a valid driver’s license.
Reckless driving

The definition of reckless driving varies from state to state. Generally reckless driving means driving with willful disregard for the safety of others persons or property. Speeding by itself does not amount to reckless driving. However speeding at extremely high speeds can result a reckless driving charge. In most states you can be arrested for reckless driving and sent to jail for a period ranging from 24 hours to 2 years.

செட்டியார் ஒருவர் , தன் மாப்பிள்ளையைத் தலைதீபாவளிக்கு அழைப்பதற்காக , மாப்பிள்ளையின் வீட்டிற்குச் சென்றார். தலை தீபாவளிக்கு வருவதற்கு மாப்பிள்ளை ஒரு நிபந்தனை விதித்தார். அதாவது

" நீங்கள் 30 ஜாண் நீளம், 30 ஜாண் அகலம், 30 ஜாண் உயரத்திற்கு அல்வா செய்யவேண்டும். அதில் தினமும் 1 ஜாண் நீளம், 1 ஜாண் அகலம், 1 ஜாண் உயரமும் கொண்ட அல்வாவை நான் வெட்டி சாப்பிடுவேன். இவ்வாறு மொத்த அல்வாவும் தீரும் வரையில் உங்கள் வீட்டில் தங்கி இருப்பேன். உங்களுக்கு சம்மதமா ? "
என்று கேட்டார்.

செட்டியாரும் சரி ன்று சொன்னார். அப்படியானால் மாப்பிள்ளை செட்டியார் வீட்டில் எத்தனை நாள் தங்கியிருந்தார் ?
